Sainik School Admission Registration For Girl Students Begins, Apply Before December 6, 2019

The Sainik Schools Society has activated the online registration link for girl students to apply for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The online application window is available only for girl candidates for the academic year 2020-21. Interested girl candidates who satisfy all the eligibility conditions set by the Sainik Schools Society can register online until December 6, 2019.

The official website reads, “Only for Girl candidates – Online registration open from 26 Nov 2019 to 06 Dec 2019, for admission to Sainik Schools at Bijapur (Karnataka), Chandrapur (Maharashtra), Ghorakal (Uttarakhand), Kalikiri (Andhra Pradesh) And Kodagu (Karnataka).”

Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had given a nod to allow girls to take admission in the Sainik Schools to achieve gender equality. He has taken this bold step after the success of the pilot project launched in the Sainik School at Chhingchhip in Mizoram two years ago.

Step 1: Visit the official website- www.sainikschooladmission.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link ‘Application Form’ (New Registration For Girls)
Step 3: A new page will open.
Step 4: Fill in the details.
Step 5: Pay the application fee amount.
Step 6: Take a printout of AISSEE application form for future reference.

Sainik School Admission: Registration Fee

All the General category and defence category candidates have to pay Rs 400 as application fee. However, candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories have to pay Rs 250.

Sainik School Admission: Exam pattern

Candidates who are seeking admission for Class 6 exam have to appear for the entrance exam, which consists of 125 questions and will carry 200 marks. The exam paper for Class 9 admission consists of 150 questions and will carry 400 marks.

Sainik School AISSEE Exam Date

The AISSEE entrance examination will be held on January 5, 2020. The final merit list along with the waiting list will be displayed on March 20, 2020.

The Sainik Schools were established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence. There are around 30 Sainik Schools across the country. Candidates need to appear for All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) followed by an interview and medical examination for admission to Sainik Schools.
