The qualified candidates will be then called for the interview round that is going to be conducted by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS.

About IBPS RRB PO Recruitment

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, an autonomous body, has received a mandate from the participating RRBs to conduct a recruitment process every year. They make arrangements for conducting the online preliminary exam and main exam for Officer Scale 1 and declare the result of the exams. IBPS will inform the shortlisted candidates about the interview. The interview round will be conducted by Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with the competent authorities. The provisional allotment will be made based on the total vacancies reported by the RRBs.

IBPS RRB PO Exam Pattern 2022

The selection process of IBPS RRB PO 2022 has three phases, i.e prelims exam, and mains exams followed by an interview round. We have shared below the detailed exam pattern of all the stages of the RRB Officer Scale 1 recruitment process.

IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2022

IBPS RRB PO prelims exam will be conducted online and is going to comprise objective-type multiple choice questions. The exam will have questions from two sections i.e Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section will carry a total of 40 questions accounting for 40 marks. The candidates will be getting a composite duration of 45 minutes to complete the test.IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Pattern

Note: The preliminary exam will be qualifying in nature and the marks obtained in this exam will not be counted in the final merit list. Candidates will have to secure minimum cut-off marks to qualify in the preliminary exam. A penalty of 0.25 marks is prescribed for the wrong answers marked in the prelims exam. However, there will be no penalty for the questions left unanswered.

IBPS RRB PO Mains Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB PO mains exam 2022 will be held online and contain Objective type multiple choice questions. There will be five sections in the main exam. Each section will carry 40 questions and the composite time will be 2 hours.

Note
Candidates will have to secure minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the main exam.
The marks obtained in the main exam will be considered in the preparation of the final merit list.
There will be a negative for wrong answers marked in the main exam. For each incorrect response, 1/4th of the marks will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at the final marks.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Interview Exam Pattern

Candidates who have been qualified in the main examination for the post of Officers Scale I will have to participate in the Interview to be conducted by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with the help of NABARD and IBPS. The maximum marks allotted for the Interview are 100. The final score shall be based on the scores obtained in the online main examination and interview.

IBPS RRB PO Reasoning Preparation Strategy

Use the elimination method to solve questions based on puzzles and seating arrangements.
Do not spend more than 15 seconds on questions based on inequality, direction, or coding and decoding. c
Always attempt the miscellaneous topics like alphanumeric series, direction, and Chinese coding first and then move to the puzzle section. This helps in securing more marks in the beginning.
While attempting the puzzles, do not spend more than 20 seconds reading the question.
Draw at least three to four conditional diagrams to use the elimination method while solving the seating arrangement questions.

IBPS RRB PO Normalization Method

The score secured by each candidate in a different session (if held) will be normalized by using the equipercentile method. The marks up to two decimal points shall be considered for calculation purposes.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Result 2022

Candidates who clear all the selection stages of the IBPS RRB PO exam will be considered for the provisional appointment. The marks obtained in the main examination and interview round will only be considered in the final merit list. The provisional allotment shall be confined within the RRBs of the state opted for.
