NEW DELHI: Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar reportedly claimed responsibility for the murder of singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala in a Facebook post on Sunday evening, just a few hours after the incident.
Brar is said to be a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi and is also said to be involved with Moose Wala’s murder.
Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) V K Bhawra had said on Sunday that Moose Wala’s murder may be linked to the murder of SAD leader Vicky Middukhera.
In a social media post purportedly by Goldy Brar, it was said that Moose Wala’s murder was a revenge killing for Middukhera’s murder.

Who is Goldy Brar?
* Goldy Brar aka Satinder Singh was born in Faridkot district of Punjab.
* He was involved in an extortion racket in Punjab before fleeing to Canada. He now operates from there through a module in Punjab.
* There is an open-ended non-bailable arrest warrant issued against Brar in connection with the killing of district Youth Congress chief Gurlal Singh Pehalwan.
* Brar’s cousin Gurlal Brar was murdered in July 2021. Pehalwan was allegedly killed to avenge his death. Goldy Brar was the prime suspect in the murder and he reportedly fled to Canada soon after.
