Reds beat Leinster Reds won by 5 wickets (with 21 balls remaining) – Leinster vs Reds, Cricket Ireland Inter-Provincial Limited Over Cup, 3rd Match Match Summary, Report

What a fantastic chase we saw from the Reds here today. Marshalled by a wonderful record breaking 150 for the Captain PJ Moor.

It wasn’t only a day of individual records, this is the highest chase in IP50 history and the first time that the Munster Reds have beaten the Lightning in the IP50

With the late changes to the Lightning squad, the bowling always looked the weakest part of their line up, and so it proved. The Reds batter knew once they saw off Dockrell and McCarthy, that they could feast on the other bowlers and didn’t they do that!

The five wicket win means that they move four points clear at the top of the table, don’t they deserve it!

PJ Moor has just been named player of the match, he get’s the award for scoring “Moor” runs then anyone today.

That just leaves me to thank you for following my ball by ball today, hopefully you’ll join me on Thursday as the Warriors host the Knights at Bready. Until then, this is Justin Smyth saying night from Pembroke.
