nadda: PM personally ensures last-mile delivery of welfare plans: Nadda | India News

NEW DELHI: BJP president JP Nadda on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally monitors the last-mile delivery of welfare schemes and development works, which has played a key role in the success of the current government in the past eight years.
Nadda held a press conference, along with Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Smriti Irani, and Anurag Thakur, to highlight the achievements of the Modi government which has completed eight years in office. He said the PM has changed the country’s political culture and ushered in a responsive and proactive government. “Seva, sushasan and garib kalyan (service, good governance and welfare of poor) is the soul of the Modi government,” the BJP president said.
Nadda also launched a special campaign, called ‘8 Years of Seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan’, to reach out to the youth and citizens through the NaMo App. “The platform has a collection of videos, graphics and articles which detail the work done by the Modi government in eight years,” he said.
The BJP president said that after years of policy paralysis, PM Modi has delivered a pro-active, pro-responsive government, which has been keen to serve the last man in the row.
He added that the IMF recently certified that only 10% of people in India are now under the BPL (below poverty line) category, 12% less than earlier, which speaks volumes about the success of the Modi govt. Nadda said the stories of transformations are witness to the progress of the country witnessed in the past eight years.
He said the northeast was earlier seen as a backward region but the Modi government has also done the work of including it in the mainstream.
