Royal Challengers had earlier qualified for the IPL 2022 playoffs courtesy of Mumbai Indians’ five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals on Saturday. Royal Challengers were on 16 points and Capitals on 14 ahead of the game, and Capitals would have made it to the last-four stage had they won the match owing to a higher net run rate than that of RCB.
